It was a fusion of two ultra-luxury brands as IBB Golf and Country Club, probably Africa’s most prestigious golf course received the 26-year-old vintage Glenfiddich from one of the world’s most renowned distilleries.
At a special ceremony at the 2023 IBB Independence Golf Tournament, the Club’s Captain Dr. Banjo Obaleye received the Glenfiddich Grande Couronne special label from Eddy Madaki, Meta LUXURY Manager for William Grant and Sons Nigeria.
Glenfiddich Grande Couronne 26 Year Old, is an exquisite single malt scotch whisky finished in the finest French Cognac casks. The final toast is a majestically smooth marriage of café crème, brown sugar and spice.
Eddy Madaki stated: ”While sweet toasted oak and the delicate scent of patisserie swirl in the air, the long-lasting sweet and velvety finish makes every dram a gilded tribute to true opulence.
“Our 26-year-old whisky is matured in American and European oak casks at The Glenfiddich Distillery, before the crowning glory: an extended finish in rare and meticulously selected French Cognac casks.
“It is skillfully crafted and best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or with club soda to expand the flavour.”
